Having the job that I do, I am constantly in and out of buildings and vehicles, as well as on land and water and under thick tree cover. This Garmin has worked better then the other oen I owed and the two others that I was giving to by my employer. This one has alot more bells and whistles on it then my last Etrex Legend(the blue one).
The color option/brightness is great for both day and night. Battery life is awesone. the only thing I wish is that it had a better detailed map of the highways(but like anything else you always have to pay for upgrade programs). It takes less time then the etrex legend to boot up and lock on to satalites. Well worth the investment. Garmin eTrex Legend HCx Personal Navigator
